2020-21 High School Registration

Resident Students

For those students that reside within the Yakima School District Boundaries (Map), and not currently enrolled in our schools, please contact the Student Family Center located at 105 N. 4th Avenue, or call 509-573-7023.

 

Non-Resident Students

Due to COVID-19 and Yakima County remaining in phase 1 we are adjusting the non-resident application window from July 7th through July 23rd on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12-4 p.m. at the Student & Family Center walk up window (105 N 4th Ave).

Thank you for your interest in the Yakima School District!  We will have a Non-Resident Application window open from June 29th – July 17th, 2020 for our high schools. The final approval occurs in late summer so we can ensure that Yakima School District students have their placement. Students living within YSD boundaries are our first priority. 

To be considered for admission students must have strong attendance and grades with limited to no discipline history.

Step 1: Applications must be made directly to the Student and Family Center. 

Step 2: Completed Applications that meet the criteria will be sent on to the requested high school for final approval by the building principal.

Davis High School currently is experiencing a high number of Yakima School District students enrolled in each grade.  If space permits, application requests to Davis High School that meet legacy status (students whose family has a history of graduating from Davis) or students of Yakima School District employees will be have first priority.

The application process consists of bringing copies of the 2019-2020 full year record of academics, discipline, and attendance to Student and Family Center.  The application process does not guarantee admission in the Yakima School District. All applications must be approved.

Once the application has been approved, a registration packet with approval notification will be sent by the building. Notification of approval/denials will be sent out the week of August 17th, 2020.

Nonresident students that wish to register for Running Start (fully or partially) will be asked to return to their home district.
