Why a sock drive? We all know how good a brand new pair of scoks feel, especially for those on their feet out in the cold. Nob Hill Elementary School competed against Garfiend Elementary School to see who could bring in the most socks to donate to the Union Gospel Mission. Garfield Elementary School donated 1005 pair of scoks; while Nob Hill Elementary School brought in 1775 pair of socks. One 5th grade Nob Hill student said, "Not only is it fun to compete against another school, but it was also fun to compete agaist other classrooms in our school. It feels good to give back to our community and more important to help one another out."
Way to go Garfield Elementary and Nob Hill Elementary!
